It's a Beautiful Day

There's something good about a clear sky and sunshine, even though it was cold. We get too many dull, wet, cloudy, foggy days here so it's nice to see some winter sunshine.

Arose at a reasonable hour (no wine last night...yes I know it was Friday!). Shower, breakfast and a few chores and then a stroll into Tynemouth for the paper. A nice 3.5 mile walk returning along the coast.

Lunch was huevos rancheros. I love the way the coriander (cilantro), jalapenos, salsa, sour cream etc combine to make such a wonderful taste.

A lazy afternoon spent surfing the net, watching Blackadder III and keeping up to date with the sport.

Jambalaya for dinner and the plans for this evening - a movie - The Counterfeiters (Der Fleischer in German - a true story about counterfeiters in Nazi Germany), some music and some wine.

Not too much wine though. Early start in the morning. Men's Aussie Open final...Murray v Djokovic. Hopefully next time I blog Britain's 75 year wait for a grand slam tennis winner will be over!

Good luck Andy!
