Day two back at work. The same reluctance to get up. The morning routine now feeling oh so familiar.
Last night was spent in the Quarry pub with friends. A decent night. It was good Guinness. We nearly won the quiz jackpot but my knowledge of World War I poets just wasn't quite good enough. My friends were impressed that I even knew the name of one WWI poet so I didn't feel too ashamed.
Returned home to watch The Ashes before retiring to bed. Awoke to the news that England lead by 208 runs with 4 wickets remaining. Another 100 hundred for Cook (and yet more records aplenty broken in the process) and a first Ashes ton for Bell. Only 2 days to go. I think England are a safe bet for a win or, at worst a draw. Either way it's a series win.
Chicken Madras for dinner and some scrabble fun with Christina on the iPod. Isn't technology amazing? I got my arse kicked though. She is a better wordsmith than I.
Weekly shopping done and now watching the football scores. Latest news Aston Villa 0 Sunderland 0. I will take a point away from home.
Goodnight and God bless. See you the other side of midnight.
